Vanessa Hudgens picked up $12,000 worth of freebies at the Golden Globe awards "swag suites" over the weekend.
The 'High School Musical' actress was keen to pick up as many items as possible from the ceremony's sponsors and various parties, and at one point her assistant was seen carrying four bags crammed with goodies.
A source who was at an event held by US TV show 'Access Hollywood' told the New York Daily News newspaper: "Vanessa overtook the area and was careful to make sure she took something from every booth."
Among the items she picked were a one-year pass for herself and a friend to AMC Theatres, a BlackBerry Pearl phone, a coffee machine, a $4,000 diamond pendant, designer clutch bags and a year's membership at a gym.
The 20-year-old star was also heard talking about the "huge house" she has just bought, explaining to friends how excited she is to be moving in.

Causing quite a stir amongst fans earlier today, it’s being rumored that Vanessa Hudgens has auditioned for the part of Leah Clearwater in the Twilight sequel “New Moon.” According to Ashley Greene, who plays Alice in Twilight, the “High School Musical” starlet is in talks to jump into the hit movie franchise as the werewolf character, saying, “I think she’d be great.”
If the rumors are true, Miss Hudgens, 20, will play against Taylor Lautner, who is just announced as being re-cast for his role of werewolf Jacob Black.
Meanwhile, Vanessa’s rep has yet to confirm the rumors - saying that she doesn’t know anything about a “New Moon” audition.

They’re two of the hottest young stars, and earlier today (January 10) Vanessa Hudgens teamed up with Taylor Lautner at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles.
Joining the “High School Musical” sweetheart and the “Twilight” hunk were TV Personality Nancy O’Dell and Maureen McCormick, all out enjoying the CVS Pharmacy Reinventing Beauty Bar “Stuff You Must...” Lounge as part of the Golden Globes celebrations. There for a reason, Vanessa and friends accepted a check from CVS Pharmacy for $100,000 made payable to the Lollipop Theater Network.
Truly a good cause, Lollipop is “a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the magic of movies currently in theaters to children confined to hospitals nationwide due to chronic or life-threatening illnesses.” Thanks to Gossip Girls.

If rumours are to be believed Robert Pattinson is on the verge of stealing Vanessa Hudgens from Zac Efron.
It seems like Vanessa might be being considered for the role of Leah in the next Twilight flick so could soon be spending a lot of time with sexy Rob.
She usually works with Zac Efron on movies so it would be strange for the couple to be on different acting jobs.

Because of the success of “Twilight,” producers are thinking to make the second part of the movie. The gossip is that for Twilight 2, Vanessa Hudgens from “High School Musical” will play one of the vampires. Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will also be at the filming again in April 09. The movie will be called “New Moon” and will include the HSM star. When they start filming in April 2009, the director will not be Catherine Hardwicke, but the actors themselves: Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

Miss Hudgens recently opened up about enjoying trying out various new looks in an attempt to keep things interesting for the paparazzi.
She said: “I have some of the clothes that my character Gabriella wears in the movie in my actual closet. I’d be like, ‘Wow, I have to have that!’ I love fashion. Having paparazzi there is almost an excuse to dress up, but if I’m not in the mood I’ll just go out in sweats and Ugg boots.”
